Jailbreak iPad 3.2.2 with PwnageTool

Here is a step by step guide which let you know that how to jailbreak iPad on iOS 3.2.2 with PwnageTool 4.1.

The latest version of Pwnage Tool also works to jailbreak iDevices running over iOS 4.1 including iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G, iPod Touch 4G, iPod Touch 3G and Apple TV 2G

Step 1

Create a folder on desktop with a name for example Pwnage. Now, download following required things

Download PwnageTool 4.1
Download iPad1,1_3.2.2_7B500_Restore.ipsw

Note: This is recommended to use Firefox as web browser to download above files instead of any other web browser.

Step 2

Mount the PwnageTool_4.1.2.dmg and drag the PwnageTool application icon into your created Pwnage folder

Now, open Pwnage folder and execute PwnageTool application which has specific icon

Click OK button on warning message screen

Step 5

On next screen click Apple TV 2G image and hit blue arrow button to move next

Click on Browse for IPSW…. and click blue arrow button

On Open pop-up window click on iPad1,1_3.2.2_7B500_Restore.ipsw and click Open button

Now, on PwnageTool screen click General option

Specify Root partition size

Click Download packages tab and double click on package to which you want to select that will get added to Select packages tab

Now, check mark the added packages under Select package and click blue arrow button to move next

On next screen with Custom packages settings option leave it as it is and click blue arrow button to proceed

Click Build option to start pwnage process

It asks to save custom .ipsw file so specify the location of your created folder in Step 1 and clickSave button

It will start Building IPSW and the process takes about 10 minutes

PwnageTool asks for administrator password so provide that and click OK

When IPSW will be built, it will ask to Connect your device to USB so do that. After a while it will detect your attached iPad

Now, it will instruct to put iPad into DFU mode, so follow the provided instructions carefully

Hold the Power and Home buttons for 10 seconds…

Release the Power button and continue holding the Home button for 10 seconds…

When iPad will get into DFU mode successfully, iTunes will pop-up

In iTunes hold the Alt/Option key and click Restore button

Through on screen window, navigate to your created Pwnage folder and select the custom IPSWwhich was just created and click the Choose button

The iTunes will start restore process of the firmware on your iPad which takes about 10 minutes. On completion your iPad will reboot.
